In this paper, an L-shaped pitot probe was analyzed with an computational fluid dynamic solver. First, the aerodynamic analysis of the pitot probe at various velocities, angles of attack, and side slip angles was performed to understand the flow characteristics around the pitot probe. In addition, the relationship between the neck length and the boundary layer thickness was studied to determine the proper length of the neck. Based on the results, the proper measurement point locations and the neck length of the pitot probe can be determined.
